We work primarily in the area of Mechanics of Hybrid Composites, which involves theoretical/computational multiscale and multiphysics modeling in combination with experimental manufacturing and characterization studies.

We encourage candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds with strong background in Advanced mechanics of materials, Computational solid mechanics and Fracture mechanics to apply. Prior knowledge of Polymer Composites and manufacturing will be advantageous. Proficiency in programing skills using Python/C++/Fortran and using commercial finite element packages such as ABAQUS is a desirable.
