We work primarily in the area of Manufacturing and Mechanics of Hybrid Composites, which cross-pollinates advanced manufacturing, experimental characterization, and theoretical/computational modeling.
We encourage candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds with strong backgrounds in Advanced Manufacturing and mechanics of materials, Computational solid mechanics, and Fracture mechanics to apply. Prior knowledge of Polymer Composites and manufacturing will be advantageous. Proficiency in programming skills using Python/C++/Fortran and using commercial finite element packages such as ABAQUS is desirable.
