As an aerospace engineer by training, I am interested in enabling damage tolerant and resilient lightweight structures for sustaining extreme environments, which can include dynamic impact, extreme temperatures and moisture among others. My work involves conducting foundational research on mechanics-based materials designs (computationally and experimentally) of architected composites and their fabrication by advancing relevant manufacturing techniques. I primarily work at the intersection of solid mechanics, advanced manufacturing, materials science and computational science that lead towards the design/fabrication of structural and functional parts. At UW-Madison, I teach a required undergraduate course in Structural Analysis (CEE 340) and a graduate course in Composite Materials (CEE/EMA/ME 508).

When I am not at work, I love to travel and experience new cultures and food. I also enjoy snorkelling, doing yoga, playing tennis and watching movies!
